With its headquarters in Singapore, Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) is one of Yara’s three regional geographic operating units. YAA works closely with in-country, regional, and global stakeholders – including policymakers, commercial and smallholder farmers, retailers and channel partners, and NGOs to identify how the company can best support priorities around food security, farmer livelihoods, sustainability and circular economy across the food value chain. Responsibilities
Technical Implementation & Development
- Produce advanced data analysis using SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Metabase following best practices
- Independently plan and develop data product features with minimal direction
- Quantify end-to-end customer journey using advanced analytical techniques to increase conversion
- Analyze user behavior patterns, conversion funnels, and customer segmentation
Dashboard & Report Development
- Define complex business problems from technical and analytical perspectives
- Translate business requirements into comprehensive BI solutions (interactive dashboards, automated reports)
- Build and maintain automated reporting solutions delivering consistent, timely insights
- Develop analytical frameworks and methodologies independently
Data Communication & Presentation
- Communicate and storytell results to stakeholders effectively, driving understanding and action
- Create proactive business insights and share actionable recommendations influencing strategy
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different business units
GenAI & ML Experience
- Proven expertise in Machine Learning & ML-Ops is a big plus
- Experience working with LLM implementation and quality management is strongly preferred
- AWS Bedrock hands-on experience and/or similar experience is a major plus
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Act as key point of contact for specific markets organizing data-related project pipelines
- Coordinate with data engineering, development, and product teams defining data requirements
- Proactively ensure and govern data quality across datasets
- Troubleshoot complex data quality issues, identifying root causes and scalable solutions
Data Quality Management & Monitoring
- Monitor data quality metrics and alert senior team members to potential issues requiring investigation
- Contribute to data quality improvement initiatives by identifying patterns and suggesting process enhancements
- Escalate critical data issues to appropriate team members while providing detailed analysis of impact and potential solutions
Profile
The Data Analyst will be a critical part of our team, responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The role is expected to leverage analytical expertise to design and produce comprehensive dashboards and reports, identify data quality issues proactively, and communicate findings clearly to diverse stakeholders. This role requires a strong blend of technical skills, business acumen, and an ability to translate data into compelling narratives.

Additional Information
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in continuous learning through coursework, certifications, or self-directed study in analytics and data science
- At least 3+ years of progressive experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar quantitative, analytical role, demonstrating increasing responsibility and complexity of projects.
