Yara aims to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is leading the development of sustainable agriculture and digital tools to contribute to solving global agricultural challenges. We have a worldwide presence with sales teams in ~150 countries and around 17,000 employees. 

Drawing on over a century of crop nutrition experience, Yara established the Digital Farming unit – now Digital Ag Solutions (DAS) – 4 years ago to explore how technology could be used to impact farmer livelihoods and productivity. Today, DAS has built products for smallholder and professional farmers, retailers and other farming ecosystem stakeholders across Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

Responsibilities

The Operational Excellence team works as a system optimizer looking across existing processes and proactively looking for ways to help standardize them globally. This involves understanding various projects across HR, Recruitment, Events, and Operational Excellence. Main tasks include:

  • Analyze existing processes, set up process mapping, and suggest improvements / initiatives 
  • Handle various data sources and provide valuable insights across these data sources

  • Build automation tools and workflows and finding other alternatives to make things work
  • Development of ad-hoc reports/dashboards/presentations as necessary

  • Support Global Hub Ops team to discuss and design events as part of employee engagement programs

  • Support communication and publication efforts including drafting announcements, designing attractive posters when necessary
  • Assist with day-to-day decisions about process, documentation, team engagement and internal systems. Align decisions with key stakeholders globally.

  • Work with the team to manage schedules, resources to create successful Hub Ops organization.

Profile

  • Personal interest in making things work better, finding holes in processes, streamlining and optimizing for excellent user/personal experiences.
  • Background/Education related to any discipline within Hub Operations (HR/Recruitment/Finance/HESQ/Operations/Tech/Workflow/Development/Training).
  • Maintains superb interpersonal and collaborative skills to navigate and engage peers and other executives of the firm

  • Great consultative skill to conduct effective questioning to break down complex issues into core elements, suggest and negotiate ideas clearly and concisely 

  • Design and Workflow automation knowledge will be a plus
