Operations Executive

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end container supply execution for assigned markets, including order coordination, supply allocation follow-up, booking, shipment monitoring, documentation readiness and final delivery alignment.
  • Ensure supply continuity by proactively identifying vessel delays, short shipments, allocation gaps, documentation issues, customs challenges, port congestion and transshipment disruptions, with timely escalation and corrective actions.
  • Partner with the demand role and cross-functional stakeholders, including Commercial, Planning, Project, Pricing and Special Function, Finance, country supply chain teams, Yara Maritime, project team and other relevant functions, to align market requirements, maintain supply continuity and ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Work with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely supply of products to markets, including shipment planning, booking coordination, documentation follow-up, delivery tracking and issue resolution.
  • Maintain customer service and OTIF performance by ensuring orders are executed as planned, exceptions are managed promptly, and customers receive timely updates on supply and delivery status.
  • Provide operational visibility through accurate shipment tracking, risk updates, supply status reporting and issue resolution follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, Incoterms, documentation requirements, trade regulations, payment terms and approval controls throughout the supply execution process.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply continuity by simplifying processes, strengthening exception handling, improving communication flow and reducing recurring operational risks.

Profile

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade or related discipline, with relevant experience in regional or multi-market supply chain operations.
  • 3 to 4 years experience in end-to-end supply chain execution, preferably in container shipment handling, order fulfilment, logistics coordination and delivery follow-up.
  • Strong understanding of shipment flow from order confirmation, booking, documentation, vessel tracking, transshipment, customs clearance and final delivery.
  • Ability to proactively identify and manage supply risks, take corrective action and escalate risks to protect customer commitments and business continuity.
  • Experience supporting growing or complex markets with increasing volumes, new business requirements and market-specific operational needs.
  • Working knowledge of SAP GTM or similar ERP systems for order management, delivery processing, goods movement, shipment tracking and documentation follow-up.
  • Comfortable using digital tools, reports, dashboards and Excel to monitor shipment status, performance and exceptions.
  • Good understanding of shipping documentation, Incoterms, payment terms, trade requirements, customs processes and internal SOP compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving, ownership, accountability and follow-through in managing urgent operational exceptions independently.
