Responsibilities
- Define and advocate product vision and value proposition for digital in agriculture,
- Translate business objectives into a clear product roadmap that supports the company’s growth and sustainability agenda, customer engagement (channel and farmer)
- Responsible in preparing and executing the product requirement document, aligning with the business stakeholders/requestor
- Assess value, develop user stories, define acceptance criteria, prioritise product backlog, and track project status, to ensure delivery of high-value products on time and within budget.
- Facilitate and obtain signoff and acceptance from business.
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress throughout the product life cycle & effectively communicating progress, challenges and trade-offs
- Be the main point of contact to orchestrate the launch of products and its subsequent release capabilities and bridge gaps between business/user needs with the team
- Define and track objective key results (OKR) and relevant success metrics of the feature performance to facilitate data-driven decisions for subsequent product enhancement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the leadership team to define and communicate the product vision and long-term roadmap of the product.
- Provide mentorship to the broader team, foster a culture of collaboration, manage team dynamics and set clear team goals to create both successful development of solutions and an exciting work environment and experience.
Profile
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to drive the strategy and execution of the digital application (YaraConnect, YaraFarmcare). You will be the voice of the customers and the business within our Agile development team, translating business requirement into detailed, actionable deliverables. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong collaborator and passionate advocate for delivering exceptional user experience and business value.
He/she is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of digital products that enhance user engagement, agronomic insights, and value-chain connectivity for the fertilizer business. This role bridges agronomy, business, and technology teams to deliver user-centric, scalable, and data-driven digital solutions across the agriculture ecosystem.
Additional Information
- At least 5 years of experience as a product owner / manager, preferably someone who managed the complete lifecycle of digital products.
- Data and Analytical thinking, analyse market and competition data.
- Familiar with product development and agile methodology such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe.
- Ability to effectively capture and communicate complex business/technical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making making and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to understand and participate in technical discussions with the Engineering team, with familiarity with software terminology
- Able to lead large or cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, manage alignment with multiple stakeholders, and communicate effectively with senior tech leads, executives and large audience
- Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, digital platforms, and smallholder engagement models.
