Yara Australia is currently seeking an experienced candidate who can fulfil the role of Fertiliser Plant Operator.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, takes responsibility, is adaptable to change, and is focused on delivering the needs of our customers.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have good mechanical aptitude and a current forklift license. This is a full-time role based at our bulk liquid fertiliser facility in Whitton.

As part of the Production Team, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Unloading trucks containing material classified as dangerous goods

  • Conducts the filling of tankers including the dispatch paperwork, ensuring correct product and quantity are loaded.

  • Loading product into the mixer/hopper using a forklift truck.

  • Carrying out Quality Control checks

  • Housekeeping and maintenance of the production equipment and facilities
  • Current High Risk License (LF)
  • Confined Space License (preferred)
  • Security Clearance/ Security Sensitive Explosives Licence (upon successfully gaining the position)
  • National Police Clearance (upon successfully gaining the position)
  • First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Self-starter, proactive, strong work ethic
  • Previous experience in a food processing, winery or chemical environment would be desirable but not essential.
