About the Unit
YARA Environmental Technologies the center of competence for basic / detail engineering and turnkey solutions of SCR & SNCR DeNOx systems for power applications. With several hundred of systems installed globally our flue gas cleaning systems are used for the efficient removal of pollutants from flue gas using catalytic & non-catalytic denitrification processes. Hazardous substances (NOx, SOx, Hg, Dioxin, etc.) are substantially reduced through an ideal combination of our systems to provide tried-and-tested, leading-edge technologies for environment-friendly power plants and industrial applications.
The department “Stationary” within the Business Unit Environmental Solutions has around 100 employees located mainly in Austria, Taiwan, India and Poland. To support our Teams we are looking for an experienced and motivated “HESQ Specialist” (m/f/d).
Responsabilities
- Be the HESQ resource in the region(s)
- Provide guidance and support to Stationary Management in relation to HESQ matters
- HESQ Management: know and comply with Yara’s HESQ Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards, based on the Safe by Choice philosophy, as well as the applicable legal requirements
- Ensure that Yara’s policies, Golden Rules and Safety Management Principles are fully understood, communicated and adhered to
- Support compliance with, and enforcement of, all relevant safety practices and procedures, including Yara HOPS/TOPS and regulatory requirements
- Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of HESQ process, based on Stationary processes and following ISO / SCC standards
- Develop and handle Stationary safety plans and projects e.g.: Behavior Based Safety, safety walks, risk assessment, safety inspections and audits
- Ensure and support that all project implementations, improvements or changes are fully considered within the context of change management (MOC) – all such activities to be carried out according to the protocols set out within local Project and Change Management Procedures
- Ensure analysis, monitoring and reporting of HESQ performance to line management and authorities
- Coordinate and handle incident investigation processes both internally and externally
- Identify training needs, develop training packages and deliver trainings
- Ensure coordination with Yara’s HESQ community (Corporate and YIS HESQ)
- Execution of all related administrative tasks
- Ensure optimization of business processes and integration of management systems
- Ensure effective processes for investigation and follow up of customer's complaints
Profile
- Relevant degree and proven experience in a similar HESQ role, preferably within power industry or in the area of flue gas cleaning systems
- Technical or engineering background is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of HSEQ legislation, industry and best-practice standards
- Experience with HESQ Management Systems (i.e. SCC or ISO45001 and ISO9001)
- Proven track record of developing, implementing & integrating safety policies
- Track record of building a strong & consistent culture of safety throughout an organization
- Willingness to travel internationally but mainly Europe
- English fluently, further European languages are a plus

Additional Information
The position should be located in Poland or Austria and reports directly to the Head of Stationary business.
