Regional HESQ Manager EE

About the Unit

The HESQ (Health, Environment, Safety and Quality) Manager will support the Commercial organization and the Country Legal Responsible in the area of HESQ with the responsibility to ensure occupational health and safety on location in line with Yara's Policies and national legislation. In addition, secure  that sufficient systems are in place in order to comply with external and internal  environmental and quality requirements. This includes to facilitate the new national, global and European directives applicable in the field of HESQ.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with international and national laws and regulations in the field of HESQ
  • Implement applicable new global and European regulations and directives
  • Perform activities that ensure compliance with ISO certification, support in internal and external audits, and be responsible for HESQ and Document management systems
  • Perform tasks related to legal compliance, e.g. reporting to management and the board, compliance to internal procedures (HOPS/TOPS)
  • Responsible for REACH compliance
  • Review and implement local policies or operating guidelines to comply with changes to environmental standards or regulations
  • Customer complaint management including product quality complaints
  • Ensure coordination with Yara’s HESQ community (Corporate and YIS HESQ)
  • Develop and handle Stationary safety plans and projects e.g.: Behavior Based Safety, safety walks, risk assessment, safety inspections and audits

Profile

  • A minimum of a Bachelor Degree/education related to Health and Safety or Operational Management
  • Good understanding of Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001/14001 & ISO 45001
  • Minimum of  8 years’ experience in a fertilizer/chemical operational environment with varied responsibilities regarding HESQ methodologies and strategies. Preferred experience from working at Manager level
  • Knowledge about REACH and international and local legislation as well as local regulatory processes
  • Risk management and crisis management
  • Fluent in written and verbal English & Polish (additional languages are an asset), ability to travel on a moderate basis

Location: Szczecin, Poland, possibility of hybrid model with homeworking.

Work Hours: Full Time

Some travel may be required.
