YARA Environmental Technologies is the center of competence for basic / detail engineering and turnkey solutions of DeNOx systems. With several hundred of systems installed globally our flue gas cleaning systems are used for the efficient removal of pollutants from flue gas using catalytic & non-catalytic denitrification processes. Hazardous substances (NOx, SOx, Hg, Dioxin, etc.) are substantially reduced through an ideal combination of our systems to provide tried-and-tested, leading-edge technologies for environment-friendly power plants and industrial applications.

We take Yara’s mission to “protect the planet” seriously. Our systems clean the air and protect the planet through the delivery of NOx abatement systems for a wide range of power plants and stationary industrial processes. We develop and supply equipment for cleaning exhaust gases from industrial plants and support Yara in implementing decarbonization, efficiency enhancement and optimization projects.

The YARA Environmental Technologies unit has the stability and security that comes from being part of a major international corporation, while offering opportunities to experience a variety of plant engineering tasks in an agile, dynamic team. This "Stationary" unit within Yara Industrial Solutions global function employs around 70 people in Austria, China/Taiwan, Germany, India and Poland.

Responsibilities

This role combines expertise in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control engineering with hands-on involvement in design, specification, and commissioning—covering everything from preparing technical documentation and reviewing logic diagrams to coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting commissioning and troubleshooting.

Technical Specification & Documentation: Develop and review technical specifications for E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation & Control) equipment during tender and execution phases. Preparing inquiries and comparing offers. Creating deliverables: Instrument List, I/O List, Instrument Specifications, Data Sheets, JB Planning, Hook-up Diagrams, Earthing Layouts, Control Logic, Cable Tray Layouts, Electrical Load List, Logic diagram and programming.

Design & Review: Preparing/checking logic diagrams, logic descriptions, single-line diagrams, circuit/wiring diagrams, panel/cabinet arrangements. Participate in HAZOP studies, FATs, SATs, and design reviews.

Coordination & Communication: Coordinating technical tasks and documentation within the discipline (including subcontractors and clients). Managing interfaces with other disciplines (mechanical, process, CAD). Preparing of technical specification for subvendors and reviewing of technical requirments from the clients.

Commissioning & Support: Support commissioning and provide technical assistance post-installation incl. after-sales service and troubleshooting.

Profile

Graduate from university or high school
Experience in equipment design and preparing related specifications (preferable for power or environmental equipment).
At least 10 years working experience in similar position. International work experience in the filed of boiler or Environmental protection are an advantage.
Expert in Electrical Engineering (preferred for power or environmental plants).
Familiar with international design codes.
Good knowledge of CAE tools for EIC, Office applications & ACAD (advantage), PLC programming (advantage).
Willingnes and ability to travel up to 30~40% across China and Taiwan.
Chinese and English fluent required.
