YARA Environmental Technologies takes Yara’s mission to “protect the planet” seriously. Our systems clean the air and protect the planet through the delivery of NOx abatement systems for a wide range of power plants and stationary industrial processes. We develop and supply equipment for cleaning exhaust gases from industrial plants and support Yara in implementing decarbonization, efficiency enhancement and optimization projects.
The YARA Environmental Technologies unit has the stability and security that comes from being part of a major international corporation, while offering opportunities to experience a variety of plant engineering tasks in an agile team. This "Stationary" unit within Yara Industrial Solutions global function employs around 100 people in Austria, China/Taiwan, Germany, India and Poland.
To support our team in Taipei, Taiwan, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Process Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Sales team at contract/ Budgetary stage by carrying out Process specifications/calculations, P&IDs
- Preparation and review of P&IDs, PFDs, Valve list, Piping Sizings (PMS), Process Calculations (Heat and Mass Balances, Equipment Sizing), Specifications of Process Equipment (Catalyst, Heat Exchanger, Pumps, Blowers, Combustion Systems, Storage Tanks etc.).
- Technical clarification / negotiations with vendors for the above mentioned process equipment
- Actively contribute to process safety assessment of products (e.g. HAZOP)
- Preparation of O&M manual, control philosophy, functional descriptions, Line List, Utility List, Terminal point list, Valve List, and other standard deliverables
- Provide inputs to Instrumentation and Electrical Team such as min/normal/max flow-pressure temperature, design parameters and determine min and max range for instruments such as PG, PT LG, LT, NH3 sensors, Flowmeters etc.
- Closely coordination with customer for the timely delivery of all the documents and with Vendors for reviewing the technical offers and closure.
- Ensure timely delivery of all documents, on time release of bought out components specifications and reviews of vendor quotations.
- Support on-site commissioning activities for process-equipment.
Profile
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of work experience preferably from Environmental Technology (Flue Gas Treatment, Combustion Technology), Power Industry
- Acquainted with locally common design codes - ASME / ANSI / ISO / IEC / NFPA
- Good communication skills
- Effective collaboration with team members
- Problem solving ability
Experience of the below shall be of added advantage –
- Worked previously on combustion system, advanced pollution control (e.g. DeNOx systems)
- Worked for (as employee or as a vendor) for any of EPC company
- Fluent in Chinese
- English is seen as a benefit"
