Growth Marketing Manager, Agoro Carbon Alliance

We are reducing agriculture’s global greenhouse gas emissions to improve the world we live in!

 

As part of the global transformation of  food production towards more transparency and sustainability, Yara has set carbon optimization and climate action as key strategic priorities. Optimizing how cropland is managed will make a substantial contribution to lowering global agriculture greenhouse gas emissions. From carbon sequestration to avoidance or reduction in farm level emissions, Yara is launching a new business venture centered around decarbonization of the food chain.

 

The launch of Yara’s AGORO Carbon Alliance will address agriculture’s global greenhouse gas emissions and will turn the carbon capturing potential at farm level into a sustainable growth business while providing a new income stream to farmers worldwide. Our passion lies in developing a global carbon alliance built around a portfolio of carbon smart farming practices that help farmers reduce their environmental footprint. As one of the early movers in this market, we are using our knowledge on carbon practices, our global presence, our digital and data capabilities and our strong relationships with the food value chain to pioneer an industry shaping business.

About the Role

 

You will play a pivotal role as a founding member of the North American team, working closely as part of the management team to craft and shape a message that inspires growers to join us on the journey of sustainable practice change, and devising the most successful strategies to get these messages in front of our target customers. Your success is measured on how may growers join our initiative, committing to driving sustainable practice change on the farm and reducing GHG emissions.

What you will be doing

 

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement farmer and channel-oriented growth marketing activities for early stage innovation and subsequent growth stages, overseeing execution and optimization across multiple channels based on needs and efficiency.
  • Develop holistic marketing strategies and tactics through collaboration with your team members and amplify end results with your extensive knowledge of full spectrum of marketing channels
  • Drive the creative and locally-tailored development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
  • Work with cross-functional teams, global corporate branding and external agencies/resources in the creation of messaging/content and marketing assets across all channels (digital/offline)
  • Build marketing and sales data tracking strategies, analyze and communicate relevant KPIs to stakeholders, enable data driven funnel management based on digital tools
  • Iterate and adjust marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and feedback using growth hacking and experimentation principles

What you will bring

 

  • Significant experience in digital and growth marketing and/or related disciplines over at least 5 years, particularly value proposition and commercial innovation at early stages
  • First hand experience in farmer growth marketing, experience in the areas of AgTech, sustainability, and farm innovation an advantage.
  • Experience launching new offers and digital products
  • Deep understanding of omni-channel and digital marketing and a track record of running successful growth initiatives and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Sensitivity to ideas of others and an ability to facilitate in-depth marketing conversations
  • Natural flair in understanding the customer, knowledge of substantial marketing and design concepts (e.g. personas, archetypes) and their relation to other product disciplines
  • Proven record of building marketing data capabilities, including attribution, funnel analyses, CRM automation, etc.
  • History of working with Design and Product teams in fast-paced environments and growing products with validated growth potential
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills. Other local languages a plus.
