Senior Business Analyst

About the Unit

Yara North America seeks to strengthen our financial and management reporting team with a proactive, experienced, and self-driven Business Analyst to with a broad scope of analytical review and decision support across the unit.  Success will require developing and modeling business cases for new initiatives and improvements of the current business through active portfolio management, fixed cost optimization, capex monitoring, and championing continuous improvements of our regional resources.  The role will report to the CFO, while being a valued sparring partner and resource across the organization, encompassing finance, supply chain, operational excellence, production, and commercial activities. 

Responsibilities

  • Identify improvements areas across the organization
  • Actively support business decisions and strategy by providing analyses and models for business development opportunities
  • Be the finance resource for projects related to business development such as new sites, new business lines, expansions, and product development
  • Champion continuous improvements and optimization through assessing terminal footprint, activities, regions, and product portfolio
  • In broader terms; support Yara North America’s improvement agenda within global improvement programs; Operational Excellence, Procurement Excellence, Commercial Excellence
  • Contribute and support the CFO within management reporting

Profile

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Finance related areas
  • Minimum 5-year relevant experience in similar positions. Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Familiar with SAP, HANA, or other business warehouses
  • Strong DCF modeling competency
  • Experience with productivity measures are a plus, not a requirement
  • Willingness to take on new and varied challenges (“Can do” attitude and “hands-on” approach)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and keen interest in the business
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and team player
  • Inter-cultural competence and passion to work in a diverse environment
  • Fluent in English, written and oral
  • Fully proficient in Excel and MS Office
  • Experience with SAP, HFM and Business Intelligence tools are an advantage

Additional Information

  • The position will report to CFO with extensive cooperation across the organization
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
