Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist

About the Unit

The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist will partner closely with Yara North America’s hiring managers to ensure a diverse pool of qualified candidates, for a variety of roles (from Operational positions to high level Management roles). With a passion for Recruitment & Selection (R&S), the position holder will assist the organization in the successful identification and onboarding of newcomers, ensuring a positive experience for all who participate in selections at Yara. Having an eye for the future, the Specialist will also assist us in future employer branding initiatives.


  • Contribute to Employer Branding efforts in North America 
  • Engage with hiring managers for a deep understanding of their needs in a candidate
  • Devise and implement best sourcing strategies for all vacancies, ensuring a diverse candidate pool
  • Post jobs and debrief applicants’ list
  • Carry initial interviews, identifying best pool of candidates to be presented to HR Manager & hiring Managers
  • Facilitate the booking of all subsequent interviews, keeping good communication with candidates and internal interviewers
  • Ensure proper documentation are put in place for the creation of metrics, such as diversity, internal growth monitoring
  • Work in the preparation and presentation of job offers to candidates, as well as subsequent communication and arrangement of background checks and drug testing
  • Partner with hiring managers on Onboarding preparation/agendas, including creating newcomer snapshots to introduce them to the organization
  • Monitor newcomer’s integration to the company, milestone achievements, interacting with both Manager and newcomer during probational period


  • BS in Human Resource Management or relevant field
  • Min 10 years of work experience as a Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar roles, in global organizations or high caliber recruiting firms
  • Experience with Onboarding and Employee engagement is a plus
  • Superior Recruitment & Selection skills, with hands-on experience in the selection of all positions level, with strong knowledge of interviewing techniques 
  • Familiarity with social media and professional networks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, in English
  • Strong listening and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Computer savvy, with excellent Microsoft Excel, Power Point skills

Additional Information

Applicants must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
Must be based in the Tampa Bay area.
