Third Party Facilities Manager

About the Unit

The Third Party Facilities Manager will report to the VP, Supply Chain Operations.

  • Lead and manage all aspects of 3rdParty Terminal Operations-(Liquid Import 3rd party excluded) in an integrated fashion with Supply Chain and Sales and Marketing to deliver high quality products in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Lead Contract negotiation and manage personnel to accomplish goals of unit.
  • Optimize asset structure to meet needs of unit, assessing current structure and future required structure to meet business needs.
  • Create operational excellence by defining, implementing  and refining processes and procedures for inspection, monitoring and measuring performance and to meet operational and Health, Environmental, Safety and Quality goals.  Meet regulatory, TOPS and HOPS requirements.
  • Drive continuous Improvement mindset throughout the organization.
  • Develop scorecards for key facilities, assess performance, meet and report with each terminal quarterly to review assessments, develop and implement improvement actions.
  • Take responsibility for Quality oversight at each facility, defining  proper methods of handling cargo, training personnel, developing consistent ways to measure and scorecard each site and finding alternatives for off spec material.
  • Develop, maintain and actively manage relationships with facilities, oversee negotiation strategy and tactics.
  • Investigate and evaluate alternative terminal solutions  and new distribution opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of Packaging Requirements to meet regulatory and business obligations. 
  • Work in an integrated fashion with Supply Chain and Sales and Marketing to meet business requirements and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive improved reporting and inventory management to meet quality and fiscal requirements of the organization.
  •  BS Degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7 years of proven track records driving terminal operations
  • Experience in developing and managing people and 3rd party facilities
  • Knowledge of Terminal and Warehouse operations. 
  • Certifications 5S/Lean desirable, and strong process orientation

  • Project management experience
