Turnaround Engineer E&A

About the Unit

You will report to the Technical Support Manager Electrical & Automation of the SPTM department. As a Turnaround Engineer you are a key player /actively participate in all phases of a turnaround (preparation, execution, close-out), following the Yara Turnaround Process.

Responsibilities

  • Be a role model and take care that activities are being executed in conformance with Yara’s Values & Management system;
  • Be responsible for an E&A TA-team, coordinate all TA E&A-activities, including preparation and scheduling of E&A-workpackages for the assigned manufacturing plants and/ or loading facilities at the Yara Sluiskil site;
  • Review or assemble work packs for effective execution and to the required quality to maintain /restore integrity and reliability / availability;
  • Implement and develop standards and best practices for TA E&A-activities;
  • Manage the E&A-contractors and -parties performance, and perform adequate cost control on their activities;
  • Monitors delivery dates and notifies scheduler of planned and actual delivery dates;
  • Collaborate between the different TA-team disciplines to ensure aligned activities Lead teams during preparation and construction;
  • Identify, initiate and implement reliability improvement projects and provide technical support to Operations and the local E&A Maintenance organization where required;
  • Build relations with technical personnel within Yara Sluiskil, third parties, other Yara site and the technical network within Yara International.

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Proven experience in maintenance and turnarounds of chemical plants, with focus on electrical equipment and automation systems and instruments:
  • Capacity to handle complex problem solution, good analytical skills and “hands on” attitude;
  • Good interpersonal skills, with an open mind and high motivation;
  • Ability to function effectively in a team and with a high level of self-motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch;
  • Willingness to work in an international environment and to travel for some extended periods.
