Yara Tertre SA is looking for an IT Site Support Technician to join our Team in Tertre, Belgium. The position will be based in Yara Tertre SA, Belgium. The role reports to the Regional IT Manager.  
 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support Yara’s IT & OT (Operational Technology) Users
  • Maintenance and operations of local IT equipment
  • Experience in supporting Virtual Events and associated equipment (AV)
  • Be the Yara IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding all site IT matters.
  • Participate and contribute to central and local IT projects as the site IT SME.
  • Build, maintain, and improve IT knowledge among IT users.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Office365 and Teams /SharePoint
  • Provide a point of contact regarding local IT matters.
  • Act as Yara IT local representative for central IT Services and deliveries according to Yara IT policies, standards, solutions, and governance. 
  • Ability and willingness to support other countries in the region, including traveling abroad.
     

 

Profile

 

  • Level of education: IT specialist (bachelor’s degree in relevant field), extensive experience in IT may make up for level of education.
  • Level of experience: Minimum 2 years of IT Support (preferable in international companies)
  • Have excellent skills on Microsoft O365 tools (Building Teams site structure, etc.) supporting users at local site
  • Excellent soft skills and experience in handling customers
  • Certification in ITIL, Microsoft and/or other SME relevant topics, experience from ServiceNow is an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication in a plant environment 
  • Flexibility : be available in the field or by several communication channels to find the right solution 
  • Primary language is French, but candidate should also be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently and at the same time have good teamwork skills.
  • Relevant IT experience (e.g., hands-on knowledge of hardware and software maintenance and installation, network infrastructure knowledge) 
  • Understanding of functionality of site infrastructure
  • Good problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and find solutions with efficiency
