About the Unit

Yara has an ambitious strategic agenda to be the crop nutrition company for the future and is taking lead in the development towards sustainable agriculture and digital tools, to contribute to solving the challenges which the agricultural industry is facing globally. We have a worldwide presence with sales to ~150 countries and around 17 000 employees. The newly established function, Yara Farming Solutions, will lead the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient food production, by innovating our offering and the way we work.

The engineering department is responsible for developing and scaling new “on-farm” digital and integrated tools and solutions, which will work toward driving a more efficient and transparent food system and better live environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimise data pipelines to support analytical use cases and support marketing and analytical business cases
Build and further optimise mission-critical data products, supporting their integration with downstream applications
Ensure smooth deployment and infrastructure-as-code practices for data solutions
Design and implement scalable data models aligned with business needs to further optimise the data governance model of Yara Europe
Contribute to architectural decisions in a modern cloud-based data platform to enchance YFSE data ecosystem
Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, Eruopean markets and business teams to support cross-team and cross-domain solutions

Profile

(Masters) Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
Minimum of 4+ years in data engineering or similar roles; experience with data manipulation and distributed systems; exprerience with cloud environments is strongly preferred
Technical Skills and Methodologies:
- SQL, Spark, DBT
- Python, AWS, Airflow, Terraform, Docker
- CI/CD, Github, Github actions, Kafka (nice to have)
- Agile, Scrum
Strong communication and English skills, problem-solving, adaptability, ownership, and curiosity

Additional Information

Occasional business travel (1–3 times/year)
