Commissioning & Service Engineer (m/f/d)

About the Unit


YARA Environmental Technologies is the center of excellence for basic/detail engineering and turnkey solutions of SCR & SNCR DeNOx systems, chemical storage and residue incineration for energy and industrial applications. With several hundred systems installed worldwide, our systems are used for the efficient removal of pollutants from flue gas by means of catalytic & non-catalytic denitrification processes. The ideal combination of our systems significantly reduces pollutants (NOx, SOx, Hg, dioxin, etc.) and provides proven cutting-edge technologies for environmentally friendly power plants and industrial applications.

The "Stationary" unit within the Environmental Solutions business unit employs around 100 people in Austria, Taiwan, India and Poland. To support our team, we are looking for an experienced and motivated "Commissioning and Service Engineer (m/f/d)".



  • Self-responsible execution of mechanical repairs, assembly, commissioning, maintenance work and customer training of denitrification systems (SCR, SNCR), chemical storages, residue incineration
  • Full support of existing customers with appropriate service calls, as well as analysis, diagnosis and elimination of mechanical and electronic malfunctions
  • Technical clarifications with the customer
  • Self-responsible coordination of the work and work processes with the project manager and the customer
  • Expansion of services including spare parts business
  • Travel 50-100% mostly within the EU
  • Occasional assignments on weekends



  • Successfully completed practical technical training (HTL, master craftsman, university of applied sciences...)
  • Knowledge and technical skills in pneumatics, mechanics and/or electronics
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of energy/industrial plants
  • Team-oriented, assertive, service-oriented and communicative doer
  • Used to independent, goal-oriented and persistent work
  • Very good German and written and spoken English
  • Driving license for standard car is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office products
  • Basic knowledge of ACAD

Additional Information


The office is located in Vienna/Austria.

The salary is based on the valid KV contract. Depending on qualifications and experience, there is a willingness to significantly overpay.
