Responsibilities

 

The Biologicals Specialist is responsible for driving the development, implementation, and technical support of Yara's Biologicals products in the Baltic region with main focus in Lithuania. This role ensures the integration of innovative biological products and practices that enhance soil health, crop productivity, and sustainability. Acting as a subject matter expert, the specialist provides guidance to internal teams and customers on biological technologies, regulatory compliance, and best agronomic practices to deliver value-added solutions aligned with Yara’s strategic objectives.

The Biologicals Specialist will play a key role in expanding Yara’s biological portfolio, influencing market adoption, and driving innovation in a rapidly evolving segment. Reporting to VP Commercial, Baltics the position’s primary responsibilities include:

 

  • Working closely with Commercial Managers in Baltics implementing  the Yara Biologicals strategy
  • Designing a market plan for YaraVita foliar fertilisers and biostimulants in  Baltics region in co-operation with local commercial teams
  • Acting as the regional subject matter for Yara Biologicals, supporting product implementation and ensuring proper technical and commercial positioning
  • Designing and implementing demand generation strategies that engage both distributors and farmers to drive adoption and growth
  • Conducting  comprehensive competitive analysis—covering products, active ingredients, market positioning, value propositions, and identifying opportunities and threats
  • Providing technical training for distributors, covering product details, value and sales arguments, and key tank-mix recommendations
  • Executing Yara Biologicals trials and field demos to support sales in Baltics
  • Partnering with the sales team to deliver after-sales support and share results, fostering customer loyalty and repeated business
  • Providing regional support for the creation, launch, and development of new products and portfolio management activities
  • Training and supporting local sales team in differentiating and defending the value proposition of Yara Biologicals products 

Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field
  • Over 3 years working experience in agriculture, Foliar and biologicals segment
  • Commercially driven and proactive professional with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with farmers, distributors, and internal commercial teams
  • Hands-on experience in field trials, product validation, and technical support within agriculture industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing crop and soil issues
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage customers and stakeholders
  • Skilled at translating complex scientific concepts into clear, practical agronomic recommendations
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Fluent Lithuanian language skills, both verbal and written is a must
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication​. Additional languages are a plus

Additional Information

 

Location: Lithuania

 

This role involves regular travel across the Baltic region to engage with customers and collaborate closely with local commercial teams

 

Offered salary: We offer salary from 2828 Eur to 4242 Eur/month gross (before taxes, final offer depends on candidate's competence).
