About the Unit

Production Unit in Wałcz, Poland is a fastly developing terminal producing and distributing specialized soluble fertilizers. In recent years, significant investments have been made in the terminal, one of them being shifting a significant part of the production from Yara Vlaardingen terminal in the Netherlands, increasing the storage capacity from 8,000 tons to 24,000 tons and setting Wałcz as SEVESO site for ammonia storage. With the new investments Wałcz became a strong production and distribution center for Poland, Czech, Hungary, Romania and other East European countries.

About the position

This role will have 2 main focus areas:

Project Management: Supporting Site Manager to plan and execute on time and budget the CAPEX planned for Walcz. This includes regular status update to management, identification of risks and mitigation and all relevant project management documentation in line with Yara Project Management practices.

Maintenance Manager: Responsible for the maintenance of assets good operational condition by developing the maintenance plans which will include the definition of maintenance budget, spare parts levels and maintenance routines.

Additionally the Project and Maintenance Manager will be a key contributor of yearly business plan exercise and the custodian of site masterplan.

Responsibilities

• Execute all the CAPEX investments in Walcz - keep in control cost, schedule and scope.
• To define together with Site Manager and other stakeholders the scope of new projects and prepare the business plan.
• Own the site masterplan.
• Manage contractors and suppliers within the CAPEX and maintenance scope.
• Define / Execute / Control Maintenance budget including spare parts plan and control.
• Own / Execute inspections and maintenance plans for site assets.
• Build site capability and promote First Line Maintenance.
• Lead Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) exercises for reliability losses related events.
• Ensure projects and maintenance are executed in safe way according to Yara standards, Polish regulations and industry norms.

Profile

• Degree ideally in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation engineering or equivalent background   OR experience gained in similar jobs with proven strong results.
• Experience gained in similar jobs with proven strong results.
• Minimum five years related progressive work experience and/or training.
• The profile required for this position should be comfortable to spend time on the shopfloor investigating root causes and defining sound technical solutions.
• Polish and English speaker (fluent or native).
• Project Management.
• Maintenance.
• SAP knowledge will be a plus.
