Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Unit

Production Unit in Wałcz, Poland is a developing terminal producing and distributing specialized soluble fertilizers. In recent years, significant investments have been made in the terminal, one of them being shifting a significant part of the production from Yara Vlaardingen terminal in the Netherlands, increasing the storage capacity from 8,000 tons to 24,000 tons and setting Wałcz as SEVESO site for ammonia storage. Investments in Wałcz will continue over the next years since the site is expected to grow its production capacity to support soluble fertilizers business all over Europe and beyond.       

About the position

The role is to ensure that all the production processes are in line with the company's demands and standards, and the conformity assessments are made according to the EU and other country's regulations. This position is also an important part of the chain of communication with all the stakeholders within Yara organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of production process, especially raw materials preparation according to the recipe.
  • A sampling of the production batches and coordination of testing them in the lab.
  • Preparation of the packaging layouts.
  • Cooperation with production and other departments in implementation of new products.            
  • Cooperation in SDS preparation.              
  • Creation of Conformity Assesments for the products.
  • Create, implement and maintain QA framework in compliance. with Yara standard.
  • Perform root cause analysis and proactively take action in terms of process improvements.

Profile

  • Degree in Quality or Chemistry.
  • A min. of 3 years work at production environment.
  • Proficiency in Polish Language
  • Chemical knowledge.
  • Data analysis, customer focus, English speaking and writing, communication skills.
  • Attention to details, research skills.
  • Graphic design basic knowledge
