Logistics Coordinator

About the Unit

This role currently based in Pocklington and will move to be based at our brand new facility in Howden by 2026, which is currently under construction.  This new facility is to ensure our high quality fertilizer products (YaraVita & YaraAmplix) continue to be produced, in line with business growth plans, before being exported to over 60 countries.

 

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator that is able to multi-task with documentation that can differ by country but still keep the high level of detail in each export. The role reports to the Logistics Manager the successful candidate will carry out the following:

Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with relevant legislation, Company Health & Safety Policy, Yara Safety Principles, Golden Rules and in line with Company Values.
  • Liaise with Freight Forwarders, Container Carriers, Road Hauliers and Custom Agents with regards road and sea freight bookings ensuring all ADR and Customs documentation requirements are met.
  • Communicate with overseas Yara Offices and our European Business Centre regarding all orders, including documentation.
  • Process sales and intercompany sales orders for UK, EU and global markets ensuring products are received OTIF (On Time In Full)
  • Generate despatch and shipping documentation as required by receiving Yara business units
  • Process freight invoices promptly
  • Action customer feedback enquiries in a timely manner
  • Operate within Yara Pocklington’s ISO9001 Quality System
  • Follow Yara Pocklington’s Way of Working / Service Level Agreement with its Customers

Profile

  • Experience in Logistics, in particular road, container and ADR freight
  • High competence in MS Office, in particular Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skill, time management and prioritisation of tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, although not essential as training will be provided.
  • Team player – willingness to work proactively with all colleagues
