Yara have ambitious growth objectives for the YaraVita & Biostimulants business – essential to this success is the efficient and timely supply of our products globally.

We are recruiting a Product Development Chemist to join our team in Pocklington near York to work closely with our Production and Agronomy Departments to develop novel plant nutrition formulations. This is a new position align with the growing business.

This position will spend time physically on the production site in addition to the Product Development Laboratory.

Responsibilities

Carry out research and laboratory investigations to develop new product formulations
Technical support to production operations
Progress new formulations from lab scale to full production
Maintain records in accordance with ISO9001 procedures
Evaluation of new raw materials
Involvement in new development projects

Profile

Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Minimum 2 years’ experience in chemical laboratory.
Experience of working in an industrial chemical production facility.
Attention to detail essential
Good IT and communication skills
High level of safety awareness and sound understanding of relevant regulations, e.g. COSHH, COMAH etc
Experience in formulation or inorganic chemistry would be a distinct advantage as would familiarity with ISO9001.
